Spring 2014 Color Spotlight: Coral Makeup Pictorial

Hi my cupcakes!

I know it has been waaaaaaay too long since I posted last, but have no fear, because I. am. BACK! :)

Today's pictorial features one of the hottest colors for spring and summer this year: Coral.

If you think you can't pull this color off, THINK AGAIN! It is so pretty on every skin tone and every eye color.

Let's get started!
First, I applied my MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly all over the lid:

Then I took my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk and set down a white base:
To set everything, I swept a stark white shadow to the entire lid:

Now for the pop of color. I took this coral shade from my BH Cosmetics 120 Palette 3rd Edition and placed it in the center of the eyelid:

For my crease, I used this taupe color with my Sigma E25 Blending brush:

 Here is the finished lid:
Then I took that same taupe color and smoked out my lower lash line:
Then I applied my winged eyeliner with Maybelline Line Stiletto:

Then I applied my mascara. Be sure to check out my Mascara Routine post!
Here is the finished eye:

I felt the need to apply false lashes. You can absolutely skip this step if you aren't comfortable with them. I used my Ardell #106 lashes with Duo Lash Adhesive:
Here is a comparison of my eyes with lashes versus without:
For blush, what better option than Benefit Cosmetics Coralista blush? :)

For the lips, I first applied Revlon Colorstay Matte Balm in Elusive:

Then I applied NYX Butter Gloss in Maple Blondie:
 And voila! All done!

What better time to start playing around with color than spring? Get creative! Coral is in and it is gorgeous!
